Why use dark optical fibre?
The Dark Optical Fibre (DOF) is a bare fibre that has been installed but has not yet been activated. It can then be rented or purchased by a business or local authority for use with speeds fully personalised and controlled by the lessee/purchaser.
It mainly meets the needs for interconnection of data centres (in particular Edge Data Centres) and critical sites, connection of smart objects (video protection cameras) and deployment of mobile antennas.
